What is a "Zone"?
Zones are our themed modules, each with its own unique design and character. They add excitement and variety to your ants' environment, making their world more dynamic. While not part of the nest itself, Zones connect to it, giving your ants new spaces to explore and be active in.

Which Nest should I choose?
Choosing the right Nest depends on the size of your ant colony. The Small Nest is ideal for starter colonies with 1-30 ants, depending on the species. The Medium Nest is better suited for colonies that need more space, typically ranging from 30-150 ants. The Large Nest is designed for larger colonies with 150+ workers. Keep in mind that different ant species have varying space requirements due to their size. As your colony grows, you can easily expand their habitat by adding another Nest module.
Do you sell ants?
No, we do not sell ants. However, there are many reputable ant stores where you can purchase ants, or you can try to find ants in nature if it is permissible in your area. Always make sure to follow local laws and regulations, and treat all natural habitats and insects with respect.
Where do you ship your formicaria, and what are the shipping times?
We ship our formicaria internationally. Shipping times vary depending on your location. For orders within Sweden, delivery usually takes 1-3 days. For other European countries and the US, please allow a few extra days for delivery. We strive to pick and pack orders as quickly as possible to ensure timely shipping.
Do I need anything else besides the Nest?
Yes, in addition to the Nest, you will need an outworld where the ants can forage. We also recommend a liquid feeder, particularly for providing sugar water, which is essential for the health of your ant colony.
What ant species does this formicarium work for?
The Nest Formicarium is suitable for almost all ant species commonly kept by ant enthusiasts. The only exceptions are certain exotic species, such as weaver ants, which require a very high level of humidity that this formicarium may not be able to provide.

Are the products suitable for kids?
Yes, our products are suitable for kids, but adult supervision is always recommended. Please be aware that the Nest Formicarium contains small parts that could pose a choking hazard to young children.
There is nothing as beautiful as Nest on the market today. All sizes are delicately designed to resemble natural ant nests. Our vision is for you to take these and then create your amazing miniature world from it, by combining the sizes to your liking together with our Outworld.

We've gathered the measurements of all Nest sizes here for you. When buying a Nest you do not have to buy any extra Antgates, unless you have very specific connection needs. For normal usage, they are all included. The same goes for the sponges.

All three sizes of Nest work seamlessly together. They form a perfect shell-like shape when they are all assembled, but they can be arranged however you like. You can build your own version and create something unique.
Nest formicaria are built to be connected directly to our Outworld. But you can also connect to other brand's outworlds with vinyl tubing. Just attach the tubing to our "Antgate Tube" product and then connect the pieces.
